Chet Kapoor, CEO
As a leader and innovator in the high-tech industry, Chet has spent 20 years in leadership positions in innovative software and hardware companies including VP of Content Management and Search Products at IBM and VP/GM for the Integration Group of BEA Systems. In addition, he was CEO of Gluecode, an open source application server company that IBM acquired. Chet also served as a Vice President at webMethods and held various positions at NeXT. .
Sam Ramji, Strategy
Sam brings over 15 years of industry experience in enterprise software, product development, and open source strategy. Prior to Sonoa, Ramji led open source strategy across Microsoft. He was a founding member of the AquaLogic product team and has built large-scale enterprise and Web-scale applications, leading the Ofoto engineering team through its acquisition by Kodak. Other experience includes hands-on development of client, client-server and distributed applications on Unix, Windows and Macintosh at companies ranging from Broderbund to Fair Isaac. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California at San Diego, and is a member of the Institute for Generative Leadership
Scott Metzger, Products and Ops
Scott comes to Sonoa from TransUnion Interactive, where he was CTO overseeing engineering, IT and security. In this role, Metzger introduced the API for TransUnion's Interactive division. Prior to TransUnion Interactive, Metzger worked as a senior consultant on a number of initiatives at Cal Poly's media lab in partnership with IBM, Sun, MCI, Intel and Apple. Other experience includes senior systems consultant at Baxter International's corporate R&D group, and software engineer at medical software startup Zmode.
Mike Debnar, VP of Business Consulting
Mike Debnar brings more than 15 years of experience bridging consulting, technology and e-commerce to build effective multi-channel strategies and retail platforms. Prior to Sonoa, he worked across operations, merchandising and marketing to implement Blockbuster's multi-channel retail strategy. Previously, At 7-Eleven, he led a company-wide business transformation project centered around supply chain optimization. Mike has also managed systems implementation and integration projects for a variety of retailers and distributers as a managing consultant for Answerthink, a leading provider of enterprise solutions to mass retail, grocery, and convenience store retailers.
Scott Regan, Marketing
Scott brings 18 years of experience in marketing and product management of enterprise and consumer software platforms. Previously, he was responsible for Local and Maps products at Yahoo!. Prior to that, Scott led developer product marketing and developer relations at BEA. He has held product management positions with Escalate (acquired by GERS) and Microsoft’s Visual Studio team. He began his career in Accenture’s Telecom and Technology groups and is a graduate of the Duke Engineering and Stanford Business School.
Gregory Brail, Technology
Gregory Brail brings a variety of experience to Sonoa from more than 18 years in the industry. Prior to Sonoa, Greg worked at BEA as technical lead for the WebLogic JMS team, and kicked off BEA's "Core Engine" initiative, which built a modular "micro-kernel" using core WebLogic technology. Prior to BEA, Greg served as Principal Architect for TransactPlus, a LabMorgan spinoff that offered guaranteed message delivery over the Internet. Greg began his career developing custom middleware libraries for Citibank, and then spent his formative years with transaction-processing pioneers Transarc, where he worked in the field, deploying production systems using Transarc technology at JPMorgan and elsewhere. Greg holds a degree in Computer Science from Brown University.
Lisa Kennedy Crooke, Finance
Lisa has more than 20 years of financial management experience. Prior to starting her own consulting practice, she was the CFO for Proofpoint, Inc. where she successfully raised $40M in venture funding and guided the company to cash flow positive. As corporate controller at Documentum, Inc. she created the financial infrastructure and systems to prepare the company for a successful IPO in 1996. She has also held senior financial management positions at Banyan Systems, and Shiva Corporation both of whom executed successful IPOs. Lisa earned her CPA while serving for Ernst and Young in Boston.
Joe Monzo, Sales
Joe is a seasoned technology industry veteran with over 25 years experience in sales, management and executive leadership. Joe has specialized in the launch and scale of emerging technology market opportunities for both, established firms and start-ups, executing with customers and partners to gain early market validation, building and scaling sales and revenue. Joe brings a diverse business background having held a variety of leadership roles at Nortel, Teleport Communications Group, Exodus Communications, as well as several early stage ventures. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. He is married and lives with his wife and 4 children in Flourtown, PA. .
